The dibutyl ester of PVC film is a synthetic plant ester. It is a new type of environmentally friendly plasticizer. It is extracted from a variety of plants and esterified under the action of a series of catalysts.
Migration in the environment: For phthalates, hydrolysis, volatilization and photolysis are not important reaction processes. It is estimated that the hydrolysis half-life of phthalates ranges from 3.2 years for diethyl phthalate to 2000 years for 2-ethylhexyl phthalate. Due to their low vapor pressure, their volatilization loss is very small, or almost no volatilization loss. Although there is no report about the photolysis of phthalate esters, it can be inferred from the phenomenon that they have no spectral absorption in the range of ultraviolet light and visible light that they are difficult to carry out photochemical reactions.
