Various Types of Heat Transfer Materials

Metalized polyester films that are transferable to fabric employing a specialized heating process. By using their different types of heat transfer films and colors, customers can reinvigorate their garments and accessories with new life, brightness, and different effects.

Non-Printable Heat Transfer Materials

There are a large variety of available heat transfer materials in numerous colors. Most films are environmentally friendly, are washable or suitable for dry cleaning, and are manufactured for Computer Aided Design (CAD) Cut purposes.

Metallic polyester film provides a high glossy and glamorous effect and possesses excellent durability.

Holographic polyester film provides a shiny prism-like rainbow effect. With movement, the image creates a vivid 3D effect.

Polyurethane (PU) film is a soft and smooth material that is PVC free.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is silicon treated for easy release. It is perfect for delicate, small designs such as lettering.

Glittery film adds sparkle and shine to fabric. Treated with acryl, it leaves no glitter dust after transfer.

Flock film creates a suede-like velvet finish using high-density hot-melt adhesive.

Luminous film has excellent light absorbing qualities and glows in the dark.

Reflective film provides garments with high reflectivity in silver and white when it is dark. It is made from high intensity reflective materials.

Design film is pre-designed for CAD CUT purposes. With its repeated design patterns, it adds a unique effect to any garment.

Stamping foil has great elasticity making it perfect for certain fabrics such as blue jeans, swimming suits, and sportswear. It is also transferrable to wood or steel.

Printable Heat Transfer Materials

In additional to non-printable transfer materials, there are printable PU and PVC films as well.

Printable PU film is an excellent material for computer cutting applications, enabling the user to produce full color digital transfers on a wide variety of fabrics.

Printable PVC film, with its excellent color pigment absorbing ability, is designed for digital printing and cutting systems. Not only is it a good film for color saturation, but it also retains color long after application.

How to apply Heat Transfer Materials

It only requires five steps to apply the heat transfer materials.

1. Print and cut the material.

2. Clip the extra material.

3. Remove the image from the backing using their recommended application tape.

4. Apply heat.

5. While still warm, remove the polyester backing film.

6. Apply pressure directly to the fabric to fix the design more tightly.
