Japan's Toray Industrial Co. , Ltd. said it had developed the first biodegradable PLA film resin without adding expensive solvents, toray plans to put PLA film resin into commercial production by 2014, initially positioned in the agricultural film market.
at present, most of the agricultural films on the market are made of polyethylene, but if they are replaced by raw non-degradable polymers such as PLA, it will help reduce environmental problems and plastic film waste, PLA film resin is mainly used to shield farmland and protect and preserve some crops.
