Synthesis technology of protective film adhesive

Protective film/adhesive tape adhesive is made of natural material or synthetic polymer. Acrylic adhesive is a typical synthetic adhesive. Acrylic adhesive raw material the raw material used in acrylic adhesive is acrylic monomer, which is also used in contact lenses, plastic glass and absorbent polymer. By selecting and polymerizing these acrylic monomers, acrylic polymers with certain functions can be synthesized and used as protective film/adhesive tape adhesives. Acrylic Adhesives are widely used in LCD panels, mobile phones and automobiles due to their excellent transparency, weather resistance, heat resistance and chemical resistance. Synthesis of acrylic adhesives there are three methods for synthesizing acrylic polymers: solution polymerization, emulsion polymerization and UV polymerization. In recent years, with the increasing awareness of global environmental protection, emulsion polymerization and UV polymerization methods have become more and more popular because these two synthesis methods do not require the use of organic solvents. The following shows various methods for synthesizing acrylic polymers and their corresponding advantages and disadvantages. Advantages and disadvantages of polymerization type A relatively simple control of solution polymerization conditions; Easy to use additives, with a wide range of designability (Can implement a variety of different attributes) Disadvantages of a thin protective film that can be coated: use organic solvents. Solvent Recovery equipment is required. It is difficult to use at high concentrations. B. Emulsion polymerization, synthetic use of water, environmental protection. Can be used at high concentrations (Enhance drying performance). Easy to use additives, with a wide range of designability (Can implement a variety of different attributes) Can be coated with a thin protective film, disadvantages: poor tolerance to humidity and water. Low adhesion to the substrate. The adhesive surface is easily rough. Low transparency. C. UV polymerization is environmentally friendly because it does not require the use of solvents. Easy to achieve high performance (High molecular weight). Easy to make thick protective film. It is easy to manufacture products with strong adhesion. Disadvantages: special equipment is needed to make aggregation difficult. The range of resins that can be used to provide adhesion is limited. The coating speed is relatively slow.
