The definition of PVC thin POM (polyoxymethylene resin): Polyoxymethylene is a linear polymer with no side chains, high density and high crystallinity. According to the different chemical structure in the molecular chain, it can be divided into two types: homopolyoxymethylene and copolyoxymethylene. The important difference between the two is: homopolyoxymethylene has high density, crystallinity, and melting point, but poor thermal stability, narrow processing temperature range (about 10℃), and slightly lower stability to acid and alkali; The melting point and strength are low, but the thermal stability is good, not easy to decompose, the processing temperature range is wide (about 50℃), and the stability to acid and alkali is good. It is an engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive properties. It has good physical, mechanical and chemical properties, especially excellent friction resistance. Commonly known as Saigang or Duogang, it is the third largest general engineering plastic. It is suitable for making wear-reducing and wear-resistant parts, transmission parts, and chemical, instrument and other parts. A kind of synthetic resin, also known as polyoxymethylene resin, POM plastic, Saigang material, etc.; it is a white or black plastic particle with high hardness, high rigidity and high wear resistance. Mainly used for gears, bearings, auto parts, machine tools, instrument internals and other products that play a role as skeletons.

Features of POM:

(2) Strong resistance to repeated impact, good electrical properties, good restorability, self-lubricity, good wear resistance, and excellent dimensional stability.

(3) POM does not need to be dried before processing. It is best to preheat (about 80°C) during processing, which is good for the dimensional stability of the product.

(4) The holding pressure of the POM material should be relatively large (close to the injection pressure) to reduce the pressure drop. The screw speed should not be too high and the residual volume should be small;

(5) POM should be molded and processed under the conditions of 'medium pressure, medium speed, low material temperature, and higher mold temperature', and the mold temperature needs to be controlled when forming precision products.
