Five performances of soft PVC board

Soft PVC board has the following five properties:

　　 General performance: PVC resin is a white or light yellow powder with a relative density of 1.35-1.45. The hardness of the product can be adjusted by adding the number of plasticizers. Pure PVC has very little water absorption and air permeability.

　　Electrical properties: Flexible PVC board is a polymer with better electrical properties, but due to its greater polarity, its electrical insulation is not as good as PP board and PE plastic board. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent and volume resistivity are relatively large, and the corona resistance is not good, and it is generally suitable for medium and low voltage and low frequency insulating materials.

　　Mechanical properties: PVC has higher hardness and mechanical properties. It increases with the increase of molecular weight, but decreases with the increase of temperature. Rigid PVC has good mechanical properties, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000MPa. The elasticity of soft PVC is 1.5-15 MPa. But the elongation at break is as high as 200%-450%. The friction of PVC is general, the static friction factor is 0.4-0.5, and the dynamic friction factor is 0.23.

　　 Thermal performance: PVC has very poor heat resistance stability, it starts to decompose at 140℃, and its melting temperature is 160℃. The coefficient of linear expansion of PVC is small, it is flame retardant, and the oxidation index is as high as 45 or more.

　　Environmental performance: PVC is resistant to most inorganic acids, alkalis, salts, and most organic solvents. Suitable for medicine and chemical anticorrosive materials.
