recently, the functional membrane team of polymer division of Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences has developed for the first time that the biological-based polymer hollow fiber hemodialysis membrane has good hemodialysis performance, biocompatibility and controllable degradation performance, and is expected to be used in the field of hemodialysis, replace the current traditional petroleum-based polymeric dialysis membrane material.
According to the introduction, the research group obtained a series of wall thickness of 40 ~ 100 micron, inner diameter 200 ~ 450 Micron polylactic acid-based hollow fiber membrane was prepared into hemodialysis membrane module. The ultrafiltration coefficient PWP reaches 42 ml/H ·M2 in ·mmHg. The bio-based polymer hollow fiber dialysis membrane is expected to be used in a new generation of blood dialyzers.
