With the needs of people's production and life, modern military tents and ancient military tents have undergone tremendous changes in structure, specifications, materials, etc., and their performance has far exceeded the ancient level! Nowadays, tents are widely used in all walks of life, such as military, field operations, flood control and disaster relief, warehousing, tourism, etc., playing an irreplaceable role. The tent is composed of two parts, namely the canopy body and the bracket. As long as the canopy body is made of canvas, the canvas used in military tents has high requirements, not only with waterproof function, but also with breathable function. Some Special-purpose tents should also have the functions of anti-radiation, anti-biochemical, night-time reflection, and invisibility. The breathable function of canvas is because the moisture in the air in the tent cannot escape, which will have a greater impact on the people and objects in the tent. Therefore, manufacturers of tents all over the world continue to develop various fabrics to achieve this effect. In the 1950s and 1980s, most of the tents were made of pure cotton canvas. The waterproof and breathable ability was good, but the ability and strength were poor. Generally, a tent can only be used for about a year, and the weight and volume are relatively large. Difficulty in use and transportation. Five kinds of materials for making tents: 1. Nylon: strong tension, bright and smooth color, not easy to fade, soft in texture, good strength, not easy to mold, not moth-eaten, low hygroscopicity, not hardening in case of freezing, yes A wide range of materials are currently used. 2. Canvas: strong waterproof, good heat insulation effect, not hot when the sun shines, but hard and bulky, easy to absorb moisture, easy to mold and fade, and economic benefits are not as good as nylon. 3. TC cloth: The so-called TC cloth is a blend of T (commonly known as Tetoron) and C (commonly known as cotton), which is woven with Tetoron in the warp and cotton in the weft to synthesize TC cloth. Therefore, it has the characteristics of both, wear resistance, good durability and strength, good air permeability and strong texture, and is mostly used for medium and large household accounts. 4. Sephora: It is a fabric blended with nylon and rayon, so it has the characteristics of nylon and rayon after synthesis. The cloth surface is smooth and has good air permeability, but its durability and strength are not as good as that of pure nylon. It is mostly used in continental cold climates. For example, when closing the camp door in cold weather, it can also distribute the water vapor in the tent, so as not to be too stuffy or too humid, so this fabric is reused. 5. CORETEX: It is a product of new technology. It is breathable, waterproof, lightweight, wear-resistant and durable, but the price is quite expensive. At present, there are raincoats and rain pants imported from coretex in China. Nylon is the warp yarn and cotton is the weft yarn. The blended fabric is soft and lightweight, but the strength and wear resistance are not enough, so it is rarely used as a tent material.
