How Is PVC Film Manufactured?
Colored PVC Film:

Although both colored PVC film and transparent PVC film are produced using the calendering process, their finishing procedures differ slightly.
Transparent PVC Film passes through an additional water-cooling (clarification) process to improve transparency and achieve a crystal-clear appearance. To maximize optical clarity, it is normally produced with a smooth surface rather than an embossed finish.
Colored PVC Film does not require the water-cooling clarification process. Depending on the application, it can be supplied with either a smooth or embossed surface, with the embossing pattern customized according to customer requirements.
How Is PVC Tarpaulin Manufactured?
PVC Tarpaulin:
Polyester Mesh Fabric + Bottom PVC Film → Secondary Heating Rollers (First Lamination) → Top PVC Film + Main Heating Rollers (Three-Layer Lamination) → Embossing → Cooling & Shaping → Finishing Line → Winding → Packaging

Why Is Matter
Raw Materials
The first and most important step in producing high-quality PVC film is selecting premium raw materials. Their quality directly determines the film's transparency, flexibility, weather resistance, and overall performance.
Automatic Metering & Proportioning
The automatic metering system precisely weighs and proportions all raw materials according to the product formulation, ensuring consistent recipes, minimizing human error, and maintaining stable product quality from batch to batch.
High-Speed Mixing
Thoroughly blend all raw materials to achieve uniform dispersion and prepare the compound for plasticization.
Banbury Mixer
Under controlled high temperature, pressure, and shear force, the PVC resin, plasticizers, and additives are thoroughly mixed and partially fused into a homogeneous compound with good plasticity.
Filter Machine
After plasticization, the PVC compound passes through a filter machine to remove impurities, unmelted particles, and gel particles. This filtration process ensures a cleaner and more homogeneous compound before calendering, helping to improve the film's transparency, surface smoothness, and overall quality.
Main Calendering Machine
The plasticized and filtered PVC compound is fed into the five-roll calender, where it is continuously formed into a PVC film under precisely controlled temperature, pressure, and roll gaps. This process determines the required film thickness while producing a smooth and uniform surface.
Embossing Machine
The PVC film passes through the embossing machine, where various surface textures are embossed according to customer requirements, such as glossy, matte, frosted, diamond, or square patterns.
Water Cooling Tank
After calendering, transparent PVC film passes through a Water Cooling Tank, where it is rapidly and uniformly cooled. This process stabilizes the film while enhancing its optical clarity and surface smoothness, resulting in a crystal-clear appearance.
Cooling & Shaping
After embossing (or smooth finishing), the PVC film passes through the Cooling & Shaping stage, where it is cooled uniformly to stabilize its dimensions and maintain its shape. This process helps relieve internal stress, minimizes shrinkage and deformation, and ensures excellent flatness and dimensional stability before winding.
Every production step plays an important role in determining the final quality of PVC film and PVC Tarpaulin.
